Prof. Khoja was the Director General, Executive Board, Health Ministers’ Council for the Cooperation Council States for more than 16 years , Family and Community Medicine Consultant, in addition to other job responsibilities including overall development and implementation of PHC, family medicine, public health and development and advancement of health programmes and improvement of TQ concepts and patient safety, conduction and coordination of field studies and research in PHC & he held in the MOH Director General of Health Centers, Ministry of Health, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Professor Khoja Published more than 85 scientific articles and research as well as 35 books in different fields of medicine and health system. He is now the General Secretary of the Arab Hospital Federation.

Prof .Reem Bahgat

President

Prof. Reem Bahgat Obtained Ph.D. (1991) in Computer Science from Imperial College London. Reem Bahgat is a Faculty Member at Cairo University since 1993. From May 2016 till August 2020, she was the Director of the Egyptian Bureau for Cultural and Educational Affairs, the Egyptian Embassy in the UK. From December 2014 till May 2016, she was Assistant to Cairo University President for Informatics and Information Technology. From January 2009 till November 2014, she was the Dean of Faculty of Computers and Information – Cairo University. Reem Bahgat was also a co-founder and Deputy Director of the Centre for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage, CULTNAT (www.cultnat.org), affiliated to Bibliotheca Alexandrina and supported by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, from 2000 till 2012.

As Advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology since March 2020, Reem Bahgat led the team for establishing Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) and is selected by the Board of Trustees to be the first President of EUI.

Prof. Yusuf Sidani

Dr. Mwaffaq Otoom

Dean of Engineering, Yarmouk University, Jordan

Mwaffaq Otoom, Ph.D., is a Professor of Computer Engineering (since June 2012) and Dean of Engineering (since Aug. 2020) at Yarmouk University (YU), Jordan. Otoom holds a Ph.D. (2012), a MS (2006), and a BS (2004) from Virginia Tech (USA), Arizona State University (USA), and Yarmouk University (Jordan), respectively, all in Computer Engineering. Otoom is a member of IEEE, ACM, UNIMED SubNetwork on eLearning and Open Education, Jordan Engineers Association, and Jordan Academicians Society. He is also an invited member at the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), Eta Kappa Nu, Gamma Beta Phi Society, and Golden Key International Honour Society. He has been elected as Vice Chair for the Informatics ACM chapter (Jordan) in 2020, was selected for Who’s Who Among American College Students in 2010, and nominated for the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), the U.S. Department of State's premier professional exchange program, in 2018.

Prof. Amanda Dempsey

University of Johannesburg, South Africa

Amanda is a Professor of Accountancy at the University of Johannesburg (UJ), South Arica.  She is also a Chartered Accountant.  Amanda started her academic career in 1985 and has seen many changes during her 35 years in academia.  She is the former Executive Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Financial Sciences, which she fulfilled for 11 years.
Amanda is currently the Senior Director of the School of Accounting serving 7 500 students and 120 academics.
Amanda is the author of a first-year textbook prescribed in various universities around the country.

As a ministerial appointment, she sat on the board of the Independent Regulatory Board of Auditors (IRBA) for two terms and chaired the Education Committee and the Audit and Risk Committee.

She was also a ministerial appointment on the Board of FASSET, the SETA of the Finance Sector for two terms.
Amanda was a member for three terms of the Consultative Advisory Group (CAG) for The International Accounting Education Standard Board (IAESB) of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

She is currently the chair of the UJ Pension Fund and a member of the Investment Committee and the Fund's Financial Risk and Monitoring Committee.

Prof. Rajesh Jugulum

Chief Data Science Officer, dataDragon, USA

Rajesh Jugulum, PhD, is a data science innovation, analytics and process engineering leader. He has experience in these areas in different types of industries including healthcare, finance and manufacturing. He held executive positions in the areas of process engineering and data science at Cigna, Citi Group and Bank of America. Rajesh completed his PhD under the guidance of Dr. Genichi Taguchi. Before joining the financial industry, Rajesh was at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he was involved in research and teaching.

Currently, Rajesh is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Data Science & Analytics Officer at dataDragon, a cloud based data science/analytics firm. He also teaches at Northeastern University, Boston as an affiliate professor. He is also an affiliate graduate faculty at University of Arkansas, Little Rock.

Rajesh is the author/co-author of several papers and five books including books on robust quality, data quality and design for lean six sigma. Rajesh also holds two US patents. Rajesh is a Fellow of American Society for Quality (ASQ) and also a Fellow of Royal Statistical Society (RSS) and his other honors include ASQ’s Feigenbaum Medal, International Technology Institute’s Rockwell Medal  and 2012 Recognition Award from Industrial and Systems Engineering Department of Wayne State University. He has been listed in the “Who’s Who in the World” list by Marquis Who's Who publication board. He was featured as “Face of Quality” in the September, 2001 issue of Quality Progress magazine and his Profile was also published in the October 2002 issue of the Journal of Quality Engineering Society. Rajesh has delivered talks as the keynote speaker at several conferences, symposiums, and events related to data science, analytics and process engineering. He has also delivered lectures at several universities/companies across the globe and participated as a judge in data-related competitions.

Dr. Nashwan Abdulrazzak

Nashwan has Broad-base experience that had been built from Internationally and regionally extensive work for the last three decades. The diversified work started from teaching, in high education, vocational institutes, technical colleges, and postgraduate students in four different countries, Iraq, USA, Sudan, and Oman, to commercial investments, applied research, technology transfer and dissemination, prepare and evaluate technical and economic feasibility studies in more than 13 Arab countries add incremental knowledge and experience. All successful achievements and lessons learned came from strong institutional teamwork and applied innovative thinking. Special attention is giving to Natural Resource Economics towards the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Global Education, and Future Jobs for youths via investing the field experience properly in Vocational and High Education in Iraq.

Mr. Ihsan Zakri

Regional Head, Middle East and Africa | AACSB International, Netherlands

Ihsan Zakri serves as a Regional Head of Middle East and Africa at AACSB International. Ihsan works with both the Executive vice president/Chief Officer Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and the Chief Accreditation officer to develop and implement integrated accreditation and member service and engagement initiatives in the EMEA region. Ihsan has been with AACSB since 2016 and he played an important role in engaging schools in the region within AACSB’s Business Education Alliance, and in his role as accreditation liaison, he has supported the success of the 32 accredited schools, as well over 30 schools in the Middle East and Africa currently in the accreditation process. Ihsan has an international background in higher education, program and Institutional accreditation and business and program development. He gained extensive experience in accreditation and EU funded projects before joining AACSB. Ihsan has earned a Master’s degree in Social Sciences with a concentration on the Middle East from Lund University, Sweden, and served as a faculty member at the university of Amsterdam before joining AACSB.

Prof. Adel AL-Alawi

University of Bahrain, Bahrain

Adel Ismail Al-Alawi (BSc in Business Adminstration, Husson University, Maine, USA, MBA, Thomas College, Maine, USA, PhD, University of Leeds, UK) is an Associate Professor and holds a PhD from University of Leeds, UK. Previously he was Dean of School of Business and Advisor to the President for Academic Affairs at the University College of Bahrain and the Chairman of Management Information System (MIS) department at the University of Bahrain (UoB). He served UoB for more than 20 years. Dr Al-Alawi founded MIS Department in the University of Bahrain. He is also one of the founders and Board members for Bahrain Information Technology Society (BITS); Bahrain Academic Society and a Vice President of Information Systems Audit & Control Society. Dr Al-Alawi intensively participated in the Board formed by a decree from HH the Prime Minster for the development of Bahrain Internet Exchange (BIX) and substantially contributed in the Committee founded by HH the Prime Minster for the Preparation of the Government Program for Parliament. Dr. Al-Alawi’s research has been published in several international journals. His main interest of research is in management in general and is more specifically in MIS.

Prof. Elsabe Loots

Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at the University of Pretoria, South Africa

Elsabé Loots (DCom Economics) recently stepped down as Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at the University of Pretoria, a position she held since 2012. She formerly also served as Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at the Potchefstroom Campus of North-West University for a period of three years and held professorial appointments at various institutions. Apart from a range of other leadership and management positions, she currently serves as co-Chair of the AACSB Africa Regional Network. Her area of specialisation is in development economics, an area in which she has lectured extensively at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervised a host of master’s and doctoral students to completion. Her scholarly publications are focused on African and emerging economic development topics.

Prof. Frank Doyle

Prof. Nitham Hindi

Qatar University, Qatar Associate Vice President for Academic Planning and Development

Nitham M. Hindi is a Professor of Accounting at the College of Business and Economics of Qatar University. He served as the Associate Vice President for Academic Planning and Development for 4 years and Dean of the College of Business and Economics for 6 years. As a certified management accountant, Nitham is an active member of the Institute of Management Accountant and serves on the editorial advisory board of Strategic Finance and Management Accounting Quarterly. Prof. Thami Ghorfi

Thami Ghorfi is Dean of the ESCA Business School, one of Africa’s leading business schools based in Casablanca, Morocco, wherein he teaches communication strategy and change management.

Prof. Thami Ghorfi has developed an expertise in management practices in Morocco and the region, as well as in entrepreneurship and change management. He is an advisor to several organizations in the fields of strategy, multicultural human resources management, and change leadership. He edited “Family Businesses, from Paradoxes to Opportunities”- La croisée des Chemins, in May 2016, coedited “Preparing Executives for 2030 (ESCA Publication © December 2015). Prof. Ghorfi authored “Indispensables entrepreneurs africains”, in Constructif N° 47, June 2017, in addition to co-authoring “The Impact of Businesses in the MENA Region” a chapter in Business and Society in the Middle East, Exploring Responsible Business Practice – Palgrave Macmillan Feb 2017. In 2011, Prof. Ghorfi was appointed expert member of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE), a constitutional institution of the Kingdom of Morocco. Through his position as Vice President of the Al-Amana Foundation, a leading microfinance organization in the MENA region, he is strongly involved in charity and in the fight against financial exclusion.

Prof. Ehab Abdel-Rahman

Provost of the American University in Cairo

Provost Ehab Abdel-Rahman received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Physics from Helwan University, and his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Utah. Abdel-Rahman first joined AUC as an Assistant Professor of Physics in 2006. He took on roles as Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Research in the School of Sciences and Engineering and Director of the Yousef Jameel Science and Technology Research Center in 2011. In 2013, he became Associate Provost for Research while continuing to head the Yousef Jameel Science and Technology Research Center. Three years later, he became Vice Provost before serving as Interim Provost in early 2017. Abdel-Rahman was appointed AUC Provost in June 2017.  In 2021, Abdelrahman was appointed by the Prime Minister as a member of  the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) board of trustees.

 

Aside from his administrative duties and teaching experience, Abdel-Rahman has extensive expertise in thermoacoustics and photonics. he has published more than 80 technical papers and reports and has acquired five U.S. patents. Abdel-Rahman has founded technology transfer offices at four Egyptian universities and has authored and managed several European Union and international projects. Honoring Abdel-Rahman for his achievements, AUC granted him numerous awards, including the Research Innovation Award , Excellence in Teaching Award, Innovative Teaching Award, and President’s Distinguished Service Award, he has also received the Outstanding Service Award for his contributions in establishing the University’s Technology Transfer Office and the Provost’s Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his “prolific writing and dedication to education”.

PROF. FRANCIS SCHORTGEN

Dr. Francis Schortgen is a tenured full professor of International Affairs & National Security in the Department of Social Sciences and a professor of International Business in the School of Business at the University of Mount Union (Ohio), USA. Dr. Tatiana Gherman

PROF. Alessandro De Nisco

Dean of the Faculty of Economics, UNINT University, Rome

Alessandro De Nisco is Professor of Management and Marketing at University of International Studies of Rome (UNINT University), where he is the Dean of the Faculty of Economics. His main fields of research include international marketing - with particular reference to country image and country of origin effect -, retailing, tourism, and urban marketing. Dr. Laith Al-Jobouri

Dr Laith Al-Jobouri is Abertay University Lead for Digital transformation and Emergent Technologies and Associate Professor in the School of Design and Informatics. He has more than 26 years of experiences in management, teaching, R&D and consultation in both academia and industry. He worked on many projects for wireless and mobile telecommunications, and he was a head of wireless R&D department in 2001. Dr Laith has worked with Siemens Telecommunications for mobile technology infrastructure in 2004. He has completed his BSc and MSc in Iraq and obtained his PhD degree and Post Doctorate from United Kingdom. Since 2009, he founded, chaired and organised 15 international conferences sponsored by IEEE. Dr. Khaled Al-Kassimi

Assistant Professor of Political Sociology, International Relations, and Legal Jurisprudent Philosophy

Dr. Khaled Al-Kassimi is an Assistant Professor of Political Sociology, International Relations, and Legal Jurisprudent Philosophy at AUE. Prior to that, Dr. Khaled was a sessional lecturer in the Department of Political Science at McMaster University. His teaching expertise includes subjects including International Law and International Relations, Critical Security Studies and (Post)-Development Studies, and finally, Philosophical Theology.

Dr Khaled Al-Kassimi holds a Philosophical Doctorate in Political Science and a Masters’ degree in International Relations from McMaster University, and holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts combining a double specialist in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto.

Dr Khaled Al-Kassimi’s academic research navigates approaches accenting critical security studies and decolonial studies with a particular interest in Arab-Islamic and Latin-European epistemological differences pertaining to their different jurisprudent and philosophical sources (i.e., revealed Law and rationalized law). Such eclectic disciplinary navigation has permitted Khaled Al-Kassimi to publish peer-reviewed articles in a variety of journals interested in law and philosophy, history and political science with an eye appreciating the civilizational heritage accentuating the cultural reconnaissance between the Orient and Occident.

Dr. Toufic Haidamous

Dr. Toufic Haidamous is a designer, architect, and sustainability consultant. Dr. Toufic holds a PhD in Design Sciences from the University IUAV of Venice, a Master in Sustainable Architecture from Istituto Europeo di Design di Milano, and a Bachelor in Architecture from the Lebanese University. He is a member of the Lebanese Order of Engineers and Architects and was selected to be a member of the International Scientific Committee of the 8th International Conference in Design and Nature 2016- New Forest, UK. Since 2009, he is a LEED Accredited Professional awarded by the US Green Building Council.

Dr. Toufic research interests focus on the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary systems in design involving science, technology, and culture. He has taken part in several international and local academic conferences as a speaker and author where he demonstrated his research in the emerging field of Biomimetics across different scales and the input of Building Performance Simulation software on the human comfort. Notably, his paper Rethinking the Role of Design within the Technological Advancements in Biomimetics and SynBio was published in 2017 in The Design Journal.

Dr. Toufic has taught at several renowned universities including the Lebanese American University, American University of Science and Technology and The University of the Holy Spirit of Kaslik.

Prof. Sergey Myasoedov

Vice-Rector and Dean, Moscow

Sergey Myasoedov graduated (1977) and got his PhD in Economics (1980) at the Moscow University of International Relations (MGIMO). He studied at Durham Business School, Great Britain (1991); Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, USA (1992), and Harvard Business School, USA (1993). In 2000, he got his second PhD in Sociology at the Moscow State University.

Since 2011, he is Vice-Rector of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), the biggest Russian University with more than 200,000 students and 58 campuses. Since 1996, Dean of IBS-Moscow, the leading management school of Russia, the first Russian business school accredited by AACSB (2019).
